Kadaga advises government to revise land bill

Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has advised government to revise the Land amendment bill before parliamentary reconsideration to debating.

She notices that the close that mandate compulsory acquisition of land by government should be revised to avoid resistance from the public.

Kadaga’s appeal come at the time when residents of Bulisa have petitioned
her accusing government for forcefully taking their land 10yrs backespecially those in the oil fields and no compensation has been rewarded.

Meanwhile the group of petitioners led by their area Mp Stephen Mukitale
says that they have been excluded from taking part in all oil activities and also denied leadership positions thus demanding for equity in government political positions and in the oil job sector.
