Mp wants damaged cars replaced

Tororo county member of parliament Geoffrey Ekanya has tasked government to replace all the cars that were damaged after police officers threw spikes in the middle of the road, last Saturday when FDC officials were traveling to Rukungiri for a political rally.
Ekanya told journalists at parliament that police should take action against their officers who led caused the accident after blocking the road with barricades.
He says that the police brutality shows that officers in the force don’t have feeling for humanity.
The incident which occurred at Nkoni in Lwengo district on the Masaka-Mbarara highway, involved vehicles in the convoy carrying FDC presidential flag-bearer Kizza Besigye, Leader of Opposition Wafula Oguttu, FDC spokesperson Ssemujju Nganda and Tororo County MP Geoffrey Ekanya among others.
