SEMBABULE, Uganda — August 29, 2026, Mbabule FM, under the leadership of General Manager Mr. Razak Sekandi and Station Manager Ms. Jacqueline Kwarakunde, today partnered with the management of Sembabule Health Center IV to participate in the National Cleaning Day, a government initiative aimed at promoting hygiene and disease prevention across the country.

The exercise kicked off at 7:00 AM, drawing together Mbabule FM staff and presenters, all equipped with brooms and cleaning tools to spruce up the hospital premises and its surrounding areas. The joint effort was led by Mr. Francis, Deputy In-Charge of Sembabule Health Center IV, who worked alongside the Mbabule team to ensure every corner of the facility was thoroughly cleaned.

Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Francis commended Mbabule FM for choosing to support the health facility and emphasized the critical link between cleanliness and public health:

“Most of the challenging diseases and pandemics originate from unclean environments. By keeping our surroundings clean, we can significantly reduce the number of diseases that affect our communities. This partnership with Mbabulef FM is a wonderful example of how the private sector can join hands with public institutions to improve people’s lives.”
