Sembabule district council has today approved a four-member committee for Bulongo Sub-County that was recently approved and recommended by the lower local council.
The Area Land Committees are provided for under Section 64(1) of the Republic of Uganda Land Act. Cap 227 as amended, consisting of the Chairperson and three other members appointed by the District Council on the recommendation of the Sub-County council.
The motion to approve the committee was tabled by the Vice Chairperson who doubles at the Leader of Government Business Hon. Noah Kusasira.
The names tabled for approval consisted of Mr. Matene Ephraim as the Chairperson, Mr. Kwesiga Nathan, Nahwera Caroline and Natukunda John Kakuru as members.
“It is therefore upon that background that the District Executive Committee that sat on 25th August 2026 in the District Chairman’s Office under Minute SEMB/DEC/04/08/2026 received and considered the following persons recommended by Bulongo Sub-County council under Min007/25/08/2026 for the District Council’s approval”.
The motion was seconded by all members of the council sitting led by the Directly Elected District Councillor for Bulongo Sub-County Hon. John Ambasiize.
